Burrough-Brasuell Corp. produces all contract drawings using the latest versions of AutoCAD drafting and design program. To give our clients the most accurate designs with the shortest design times and lowest costs, we have developed our own proprietary software. This software allows us to design in 3-D modes which can produce true solid models in the structural, process equipment, piping, and utility design areas. The need for accurate solids sections, not just pictorial views, has led BBC to develop a proprietary solids software program for process and building structure design and detailing. True solid models allow the extraction of sections, views, elevations, and inspection for interferences and errors that might escape detection otherwise. Information is made available to detailers for final design in forms which allow faster detailing, again shortening the entire design process. The client can now visually see the building and process prior to the placement of brick or mortar. Our 3-D concept carries into the construction phase of a project. Clearer communication of a client's requirements to the contractor's supervisory staff leads to less lost time in construction, fewer construction errors, and fewer change orders, thereby saving time and money for the client.
